Chaitanya gets married!!!

If you are wondering who is chaitanya... then I am not surprised. You might not know me in the first place... so If I say chaitanya is my brother-inlaw then I am sure you will be hitting your head to the wall.
You would be saying: Tere baare mein hi nahin pata... ab tere saale ke baare mein kya pata rahega... so I forgive you for your ignorance...

Anyways, my brother in law finally got married. So the 1 1/2 year hunt finally ended with a charming and homely girl called hema.
I know I know Jab chaitanya ke baare mein hi nahin pata to aab hema ke baare mein kya pata rahega...

She hails from a simple and educated family. Born and brought up with the indian traditions and values, which get reflected when she talks with you. She seems to be a very mature and responsible person.

The marriage was conducted in a typcal brahmin style, which I have got so used to that I know We will get 3 types of kosambari, 1 palya, pineapple gojju, baingan pulao, wheat huggi, rice, ghee and dal. Then the sambar, then rice-rasam, then holige, then potato bhaji, then 1 barfi then curd rice.
Lunch was sumptuous. SO was the morning breakfast and the reception dinner. I enjoyed the food.

If Chaitu is reading this blog he would have gone red with anger... abe marriage e baare mein bhi to bol... meri shaadi ke baare mein poocha to khaane ke baare mein bol raha hai...

Regarding the marriage... it was well attended by the whole family... the whole noisy harakere junta was there, cheering chaitu. Let me not bore you with the list of people however i am tempted to write about the whole junta...

Marriage started when I was in deep sleep. So I have no idea when the rituals started. By the time we reached the marriage hall Chaitu was ready to leave to kashi. And I was wondering itna mehnat karke paisa, time kharch karke ladki dhoonda aab kya khaak kashi jayega... so as expected chaitu was more than eager to drop the idea of going to kashi the moment the girls brother in law asked him :)

With all the respect he was brought back to the mantap. And the rest of the function proceeded. I found the marriage to be a rather length affair. I dont even remember what all I did in my marriage. By the time people started trickling in, we were already married, and the junta was left wondering why the hell did they take the trouble to come when everything was already over!!!!

Anyways... last I remember, I was going for lunch and that poor thing was still putting stick after stick in the havan... I wished him all the best and went for lunch. Had a bharti lunch. Came home and slept to my heart's content. Later on I was told that the rituals went on till around 2:30. Poor chaitu and hema. If I was in chaitu's place, I would have taken that pujari to task.

Reception was good. So was the dinner. Overall it was a very eventful marriage. and I had a good time.
