Happiness comes in small packets
People go through a lot of ups and downs in life. Getting good grades in school, struggle to get into a good college. Getting a good bride/groom. Finding a right job, staying in a good job.
At the end of the day when you sit back (probably with a glass of wine and probably saxo playing in the background) and introspect as to what is it that you are finally trying to achieve?
Many answers come to my mind... earn more money, be happy, lead a stress free life.
When I ask myself am I happy.. I get an instant defiant response of-course. Then I ask myself am I really happy a slightly mellowed response comes from within.."maybe..." I ask myself again... am i happy... i get a more realistic response "Maybe...".
So I maybe be happy based on certain conditions or factors that affect me. I may be happy on a weekend when I don't have to go to office. I maybe when I get to sleep early and wake up refreshed. I am happy when I have a vada-pav when I need one (Dhabeli is equally enticing). The way my son jumps when he greets me at the doorstep make me go hummm. I am extremely satisfied when I hear good music. I am in an elevated state after a gym workout. I am happy when i watch a good movie.
When i analyze all these happy occurrences there is something common between all these sparse events.
==> There are all small events with a very short lifespan
==> They cost nothing. But are priceless.
I believe happiness comes in small packets.
Enlightenment... Finally !!!
