Here's wishing all of you a very happy and prosperous new year.

This year should be remembered for:

(a) Saddam Hussain
(b) Nuclear bill getting passed in the US parliament
(c) Krish, Dor, Rang De Basanti, Hritik in Dhoom 2.
(d) Sachin Tendulkar's return. Saurav Ganguly's saga. Rahul Dravid's rise as the finest captain.
(e) Continued onslaught of the breaking news.
(f) Stock market news. Rise for sensex from 9000 to 14000 and a drop back to 9000 and again the rise.
(g) Retail taking shape. Walmart JV with Bharati, Reliance jumping into retail.
(h) Dream house has been sidelined to a dream.
(i) Jessica Lal and Shibu Soren.
(j) Quota Row. Whole country came to a virtual stand still. The resiliance of AIIMS students.

I hope that 2007 will also be as eventful as the year that went by.

Hound of the Baskerville

Atlast I finished the novel Hound of the Baskerville, by Doyle.
I was told over and over by many people that this is one of the best cases by Sherlock Holmes.
It was indeed a very good novel. A good mystery novel with nice twists and turns.

I also finished Sherlock Holmes's another novel: Valley of fear by Doyle.
But this novel was very boring after the first half. The mystery is solved half way through and the rest of the story is about the details of the valley of Fear, which kind of drags on and on. I was not really impressed by this novel.

Next on my list is Sign of FOur again By Doyle. I am planning to finish the whole of sherlock Holmes.

Simultaneously reading Perry Mason also. I liked the novel : The case of the Deadly Toy. Was very interesting.
